Here we are talking about oysters and I turn on the TV. Some fast talking dudue is making oyster po-boys. And not doing a very good job with his remoulade sauce, either. Now I'm slobbering.

Best po-boy in the world---Mothers in New Orleans. It's open again. If you drink anything with it but a cold beer, you'll never get back in.

As I was writing this, my sous chef called from FL. I'm going to kill her.

I'm not an oyster person, but my wife is. There's a new restaurant in Franklin that during their happy hour, oyster's are .25 cents a piece. Not sure if that's a deal or even where they get'em from. Just throwing it out there.

Bowriter, that was Tyler Florence - one of my favorites. In the beginning of the show, he mentions how he loves to go to New Orleans and get a po boy from Mother's. No lie.

Mothers is the best. During the flood, she never closed, just raised the stools. It looks like a closed gas station but you will never eat food like that. I make a killer po-boy but I can't touch her remoulade sauce or the batter she fries the oysters and shrimp in.

Sounds like my kinda place. What is the resturant's name?
Thanks

55 South, or maybe just 55. Named after the highway from Memphis to New Orleans.
