True 12-pointers are a real rarity in TN. But I did have this guy hanging around the property for a number of years. No one ever saw him. The first picture is 2 1/2, as an 8-point. Then the next picture 3 1/2, he's a 10-point. The next three pictures are him at 4 1/2 as a true 12-point. The last picture is him at 5 1/2. We believe he was hit by a car just as his antlers were hardening and all of the points were sheared off.
Honestly, I hope one of my family members see that 11-point before I do. I don't want to have to make that hard choice knowing that big 8 is around!

Yup, they had almost all the corn out by Thursday afternoon. Soybeans were planted late and are still green.Licking our chops over here at Cathole!!
We have 2 bucks that are about the only head turners on our place so far this summer. They are starting to cut the bottoms so that could change here real soon.
Oh, he's going down if one of us see him. We're not that choosy. About half the hunters on the property come for opening week of MZ and that's it for the year. I can't ask them to pass up a buck like that. They'll happily kill any 80+ 2 1/2 year-old.
No idea what he's eating. But watching deer in other videos, they're looking for any annual weeds that haven't died from the drought, primarily ragweed and pokeweed.
