Congrats to my buddy Randall Tharp for winning the FLW event last week on Okeechobee. I first met Randall several years ago when I drew him as my boater in a BFL tourney and we both won. I did nothing other than catch fish he worked hard to find. That was his first big win. At the time, he was building houses, but had the fire in his eye to fish for a living. A few years later, he went completely pro and has won a crap load of money. One thing I learned about Randy is that nobody will practice harder than he does. Nobody. I've seen what he has been through to fish for a living and that's why I get a little defensive when people think it's easy, or those guys are not "elite". Not everybody can sell their house, buy an RV, pack up the wife and two beagles and fish for a living. But he's done it and I'm happy for him.
