I was asking a buddy who hunts Tenn about some of the rules. He told me that feeders are not allowed at all, but from what I was reading you can have a feeder until the first of Sept and then it has to be turned off or removed? What is the rule on feeders?

Has to be disabled and all bait removed 10 days prior to hunting.

The rules are different depending on your location. There are new rules inside the CMZ due to the spread of CWD. No feeders or salt licks except for a few exceptions near homes. I would suggest practicing these rules if anywhere near the CMZ as the zone is expanding rapidly.
