Condensation

When it comes to bringing your muzzloader in and out of the cold weather and into a warm house,whats best to do? I know when you bring it in from outside when its cold,into a warm house,they do have some condensation.Would it be best to just leave it in the truck over night if you can,in the cold??

i leave mine in the case when i bring it into the house and it's not exposed to sudden temp changes. the temperature in the case slowly rises to room temp.

It should not matter because IF there is any condensation, it will be very minimal ....a rainy day or even a misty day would be more likely to cause problems....On days like this, I change primers every so often and if it's pouring rain, I'll slip a small balloon over the muzzle end of the barrel.

I have had issues before and wondered if it was from doing that....i will say this...........i dont let my gun stay loaded for long periods of time because it leaves more opps for mis fires. I believe it isnt good to leave them in areas where they can and will sweat because i have had powder failures because of moisture infiltration.
