We have our first shoot of the year at Old Hickory this coming Sunday and I can get you in a group if your by yourself. Would love to have you, and everyone else, come out and I'll show you around. You can shoot the fun class, so there is no pressure and you just get the feel of it.

If you know someone that shoots in tournaments, tag along with them and watch and discuss what is going on. Have them explain the target scoring when they pull arrows and look at the different targets to get a feel of the scoring rings.

3D is great and all types come out and shoot. I was at Old Hickory last year and a family was shooting the course with their recurves. 3D is excellent off season practice for hunting season.

We do not have a physical address, but the easiest way to get to us from Murfreesboro is take I24 to I40e (toward Knoxville) and get off 40 at the Hermitage exit 221a. Take that until you reach the intersection of Old Hickory Blvd/Lebanon Rd and turn right onto Leb. Rd. go about 1.5 miles and you will turn left onto Shute Ln (it's by Krogers) go 1/2 mile and we are on the Left just past on the intersection of Shute Ln/Saundersville Rd. As a matter of fact we are the only thing on the left side of the road....there is a large gravel parking lot and that is us.

Are there any kind of pre event signups to do or could me and my wife just show up and shoot?

No pre-signups, at the local level it is no where near that fancy. Just show up, shoot and have a great time.

I've seen that place a 100 times and always wondered about it. There is a bunch of deer around there, took this pic 2 weeks ago during the last cold spell, hard to see but he was a good 8

There are some very, very nice deer in the area that is for sure. We had a doe run behind the target range last year during a shoot and it tried to cross Shute Ln by the parking lot.....notice I said try.

You better watch it....I have a real bad habit of transposing numbers�it would suck to have something like an +11 up (261) score get changed around to a 162 by accident when I post the scores! Haven't you ever heard the old proverb....Don't step on the foot today, that might be attached to the rear-end you'll kiss tomorrow. LOL

Don't be like I did my first shoot last year and wait till about the 8th target and ask what they ment by 8 and 10. Take a good pair of binoculars with you.
