compensators/muzzle brakes

I have been wanting to upgrade the A2 flash hider on my Stag 3L. Which muzzle brakes/compensators would y'all recommend from experience? Im would like to stay right around $100 give or take. Thanks in advance!

No way I'd put a brake on something that recoil didn't require. The noise increase is substantial.

Sorry, I should have been a little more specific in what I am wanting this for. Recoil isn't the issue, my hunting rifles are .308 and 7 mag. What I am wanting this for is to reduce muzzle rise for more accurate follow up shots. 3 gun shooting and training.

Check out my buddy J.R. Shultz at spmarms.com he makes some very nice stuff. He has had some very positive feedback from swat teams and competition shooters using his breaks.

Yes, you "need" a brake/comp for 3 gun to be competitive. I use a Miculek compensator on my 3 gun AR. It's loud, cheap, and effective. Other popular ones are the Bennie Hill Rolling Thunder

and the JP.

Thanks infoman, the J.P. has pretty good reviews, the Miculek does as well, but is out of stock everywhere unfortunately. MUP I'm in Whitehouse, Tn. A little north of Nashville.
