Dual port actions are very popular for long range 600 and 1000 yds. You can "run" 5 or 10 shots depending on class, as fast as you can, to shoot under the same conditions. It is not uncommon for someone to shoot 5 in less than 20 seconds. Not as much need for wind flags this way.
Load them on the left away from the bolt hand and then eject to the right away from loaded rounds. The alphabet name is RBLPRE.
Right Bolt, Left Port, Right Eject.
Borden Rifles put it together, and I think it was tacky that he stamped "barrel only" but he does sell complete rifles.
I had a SSR Rimrock action, that I bought in 07 that I inquired about swapping fo one of his BR actions. He granted my wish, and swapped me my Rimrock SSR for this BR action. I shipped him my BAT model B and 2 barrels, a Brux, and the Broughton, and he chambered both for me with my reamer. Both 6BR`s.
I am elated at the fast turn time, and quality of metalwork. I shot my BAT/Brux barrel already and am impressed. I have more loads ready for Saturday AM. practise.
I did opt for the high polish, and paid an xtra $100.00 for the shine. I told him I wanted this to look like a million bucks, and he didn`t miss much at all........... :cool:

Absolutely. It is a switch barrel, with .473" boltface, so it is my Light gun wherever I decide. I have a McMillan stock to send with it to TM Stockworks to inlet, paint, clearcoat. I want this to be a dark blue/w polished accesories. Any other ideas welcome on color scheme.
I been using Kriegers, and love them. I just wanted to try something else, and when I went to Oak Ridge there was a guy shot a Brux that shot lights out. Made me have to have one. Broughton, is a really fine barrel, so I went off and got some different makers to see which I ultimately like best. It should be fun.

Just drop that off at my house next time you've over this way and I'll give you a coupla hundred. Deal? I wouldn't mind having the same rig except that I would rather have a .271 or .272 neck. I'm too lazy to trim necks.
p.s. Tim, I just sold my boat this morning and there's a big space in my garage now just begging for a new lathe. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for either a good used one locally or maybe get one of the Grizzly Gunsmith Model lathes.

Oh no, not Nuge! I had one of his bows and wound up repainting the entire riser with OD paint. He wouldn't have approved. A nice OD would be good on your's also.
