Buddy of mine went, I'm not exactly sure where. He usually goes for a month, and has killed a couple of cows, the last being year before last in 76. He goes for a month, and enjoys the mountains. I hope so!, because I just found out this morning that he can't hunt because he hurt his shoulder practicing before he ever left west Tennessee!!

Must be time to go to bed when I comment that he goes for a month........twice!! lol
 
Yes, Sleepy time. I wish I could go hunting for a month. if I did not have a job I would in a heartbeat. Wait, if I did not have a job I would not have extra money. I would sell my plasma.

My buddy, a mechanical engineer, retired from P & G at age 55, and is one of these guys that just comes home, periodically, to get a change of underwear and is gone again. Enough health and enough money to do all of this, why not? But that which catches up to us all sooner or later is gaining on him, witness a bow hunt, and not being able to hunt because of a bad shoulder! lol
 
I think I'd go anyway and just not carry the bow (if I were retired).

It's killing me to not be out there right now for the first time in 6 years.

To make it worse, got a buddy who's in the unit next to Valle Vidal in NM and he's hitting the rut perfect. His hunt starts tomorrow, and I'm expecting to get pics of a 330"+ bull any day after that.
