Maybe it's my taste buds but lately all coffee brands seemed to have changed flavor. All seem to be very 'bland and taste stale'.
No matter what I seem to do the coffee just taste terrible.......any ideas? brands?

I've tried it......better than some.
The best tasting so far was Cracker Barrel.
Folgers and Maxwell House seemed to be very stale and have no deep rich flavor.

Sounds crazy but I find the 8 O"Clock brand ... found @ kroger, BiLo is still great coffee and cheap...and I drink about a pot a day. I really don't care for 4bucks or alot of the speciality coffees.

I used to be a faithful Maxwell House coffee drinker until I went to the Dominican Republic several years ago and got hooked on this stuff. They have a coffee down there called Santo Domingo which is out of this world. It is a strong coffee and will definately get your heart going and your eyes wide awake, but its not bitter like some of the stong coffees I've had from the coffee shops. It almost has a chocolate taste to it and is very smooth. I found a place you can order it online and its only a few bucks more per can(but more than worth it) and free shipping. You can order it here www.cafebueno.com

It's your coffee maker.
After time they get a stale taste, just from where the get worn out. Just get a new one.

You can clean the coffee maker by runing a mix of 3 parts water and 1 part white vinegar through it and then just water. We have a pretty good bean roaster just north of Memphis: http://www.mccartercoffee.com/index.htm

High Point has some pretty good coffees too: http://store.brewhighpoint.com/

Honestly, one of my favorites is Folgers Columbian whole bean. Gotta have a grinder.

It's only two or three years old...one of them Cuisinart Automatic grind and brew machines.

But I will go and purchase and install a new charcoal filter.
