Have a chance to look at a couple of pieces of property for hunting next season. Is the deer hunting in Cocke County pretty good? I currently hunt a lease in Rhea County, but it was not great this year and I would not have to pay to hunt there.

Going to look at these properties tomorrow. Really just hoping to find a place where my buddy and I can take 2-3 each year and adhere to self imposed restrictions. Where we currently hunt the restrictions change each year and not everybody complies anyway.

Along the piegon and french broad rivers the land looks good. Also north on 321 going towards greene county.

One property - an old farm - is in Parrotsville. I walked it a couple of weeks ago. Really grown up and has a large amount of Kudzu but I think there is at least a small deer population there. Plan to go back and place some cameras to see what we have. There is another property but I have not seen it yet and really don't know where around the Newport area it is located.

I am looking for a small piece of Cocke Co property for myself and several firefighters to hunt this upcoming deer season. Any ideas would be appreciated.
