My muzzle loader club had its bi-monthly shoot at my place Saturday. This was supposed to have been our April shoot but got postponed because of the China Flu. We had 2 paper targets and 16 steel targets, a total of 25 shots. We try to have some interesting targets. We had a great time and it was good to be able to shoot together again.

Here's some pics of a few of the targets.

It's good to see an active ML club in middle Tennessee. Is this a woods walk loading and shooting from the pouch? I like this kind of match. Just curious...what club? Here's a pic of me getting ready for some Muzzle loading fun.

This was a woods/field walk shooting from the bag. That's the kind l like too. TN Longhunters is the club. We shoot at different members property every other month. Since mine was supposed to be the April shoot, we will have another shoot June 6th close to Hampshire, TN. That one will not be a woods walk but he has some interesting targets. Come join us.

Was that pic was from a couple years ago?

I'm well familiar with your club. Like me, they've been around awhile. I've shot the match at Hampshire some time ago and had a blast. I was a guest of a member from over around Brentwood. Years ago our club use to have a friendly grudge match with the Longhunters at our old range in Tullahoma. Those were some shining times.

I bet that grudge match was fun. Is your club still active? What is/was the name?

Did you know Dan Brawner?

I'll send you the info on our June shoot when it becomes available. We would be glad to have you shoot with us.

Also found this old hand written bulletin from 1987. As you can see it about one of those grudge matches in the day. Thought you might want to see it. For many years we always shot on the 2nd Saturday come snow, sleet, rain, or shine.

That's cool. Those were some shinning times.

Got your pm. The reason I mentioned Dan was that last June at the shoot in Hampton we had a memorial shoot for him. A lot of his family attended as well as some of the other founding members. At the end of the shoot we had a 21 gun salute to Dan shooting some of his ashes in each gun. The 21 guns were all made by him. Pretty moving experience.
