Ive got a bag full of Durana. My question is this I've maintained the johnsongrass all summer in a 1/4 ac. Spot not allowing to head out. I sprayed it with round up 3 weeks ago. All dead now. Grass was up about 6" high when I sprayed. My ? Is this. Is it OK for me to go in and broadcast then follow behind and now the dead stuff down to lay over my seed. Will this work or will seed not have enough soil contact to take a hold. Advice appreciated.

Giddy up!

Only exception: I wouldn't even worry about mowing the dead stuff unless its really dense and matted such that the seed won't meet the soil. If Durana can hit soil you're good. I've done nothing more than spray, wait till everything is crispy, broadcast, and get rain. Established great stands.

I've gotten to where I'll just pick random places (like edges along roads with several hours of good sunlight) to just spray down during the summer and sow when the fall rain and cooler temps begin.
