Just asking what's the rate some of you used . How many oz to gallons ratio . Be the first time for me to use clethodin . Thanks

If your grass is pretty short (roughly clover height / maybe a bit taller) or perhaps you just mowed, should be able to get by with just 1 oz per gallon. Clethodim is typically much slower to work than other chemicals like glyphosate so observed yellowing after a week is typical and it may take a couple of weeks for it to be completely shriveled and eliminated for good.

Taller, more mature grass can sometimes be "stemmy" and a bit tougher; I often try to mow first if possible.

How much does this clethodin stuff cost?

Paid 48 for 2-1/2 gal
Where can I buy it?

The Farm Store in Somerville...."Shadow"

Sorry, it's for 1 gal, purchase most of my chemicals in 2-1/2 gals... Thought this was too

That sounds better. I thought I really got screwed!! I was about ready to make the drive to Somerville. That is still a little cheaper than I paid.

I thought I had been robbed too! :) Here's where I got mine.

Rural King is where I get ours as well. I mix it a bit stronger than most on this thread does, and have never had a problem. It'll kill Johnson Grass too!

14 oz Cleth & 14 oz crop oil per 10 gallons water.

I mix 1 oz select(celthodim) and 1oz crop oil to 1 gal of water and it works pretty good, poast (sethoxydim) seems to work alittle better from my experiences, but you can only buy it in a 2-1/2 gal jug and it's about $250 at the co-op

Agreed; seems to work a little faster and is a little more "terminal." It's also also a little more expensive but definitely gets the job done.

I paid $100 for a gallon of generic clethodim. Ouch!

Recommended rate on my fact sheet is 16 oz clethodim per 25 gallons of water per acre.
