Seen some bear talk on here so I thought I'd share a story from this spring.
Out turkey hunting a buddies property with another guy.
Plenty of gobbles at day break but around 8:30 got dead quiet.
Didn't even see a deer.
I'm sitting in an old corral so my vision is limited.
All of the sudden I see movement 10 yards away just outside the opening to the coral.
A freakin bear.
He stops, looks back at me, I have my finger on the trigger and he hauls ass.
My partner took a picture. The arrow is where I was sitting.
Now I don't know if my wife is trying to whack me and rubbing my clothes with cookies but this is my 2nd bear encounter in 6 months.
Had one come up behind me during muzzleloader.
I talked to people who've lived in my valley their entire lives and never saw a bear
