Has anyone planted any in their plots? Was it a success? Did you plant the chufa by itself or did you mix it with another crop?

Do a search on chufa...several discussions over time. Unless you have the right soil for chufa it's tough to pull off a great crop.

Yes that is what I have found so far and that it seems to do better in rows, but thinking about trying a four foot wide by 100 foot long strip and see what happens. If does not look like it should by fall will sow a fall plot in that spot. Trying to find something for deer turkey, and dove that will attract them.

I should clarify. What I meant was soil...dirt...sandy...or maybe loamy. If you have clayey soil it doesn't seem to prosper. If you have coarse, sandy dirt you might have a chance. Plant in spots where the dirt is right otherwise might just be futile. Maybe bottomground where some sand has been deposited over time.
