Hunted chuck swan this wknd actually pretty good seen a lot of deer fri but sat morning was at my stand about to climb up and had two complete pricks come down and wouldn't leave the are I mean I kno it's "public land" but there's a thing called respect and when someone is already n a spot freakin leave but on the upside fri morning my good buddy killed his first ever deer and he killed it with a bow very happy about that though

I hunted Friday and killed nice 6 pointer. How many was killed total?

I'm not for sure but a guy I kno also hunted there killed a real big 8 had 7 inch brow. Tines I'll try n get him to send me a pic n post it but there was quite a bit killed fri evening

I got the December hunt in a couple weeks. I killed my first deer there when I was 10 back in 98. And another a year or two later but ain't been back since. did y'all find much sign? And I have heard people say they saw a bunch but ain't said what all they seen. TIA

Glad you saw deer but hate the hunters that do not respect others space. Like I said before this will be my first year hunting public land and I am not sure what to expect. I just know I am going to get there extra early and get set up and hope for the best.

I also got the December hunt never have deer hunted there but have killed several turkeys there

If your there on December hunt you'll want to find thickets and the gates doesn't open. Until 545 so you'll have to haul butt in there but I'm supposed to be there on that hunt to idk if I'm going to go thohgh

Glad you saw deer but hate the hunters that do not respect others space. Like I said before this will be my first year hunting public land and I am not sure what to expect. I just know I am going to get there extra early and get set up and hope for the best.

extra early doesnt work on the swan. the gate doesnt open till 5.45 then its a mad dash of every one at the same time :grin:

I have the hunt next weekend as well. Never been there. Do you have to have a 4x4 to get around?
