Chuck Swan bow hunting advice

I am hunting chuckswan for the first time in 5 or 6 years and am wondering should I hunt fields or woods

drive in as far as you can and find a place near the water. saw several deer last year and was also in the middle of an oak grove. sucks dragging them back out but .....

Not hunted there in many years but when I did I had my best luck on Bear Ridge. Forks of the River was also a good spot.
Hunted there when it was called Central peninsula, back in the late 60's and early 70's.
