Backwater will be receding, slight warm up, and a fair amount of sunshine a week after a cold front. I could think of far worse conditions.

That said, yesterday conditions were perfect and it was the worst day I've had. So who knows.

Our backwater is usually about 3 days behind the river gauge which may not crest until Saturday or Sunday. We will have water in the woods until around Christmas Day or later. I'm hoping it will be some decent shooting if the sun comes out..

This little warm up has me worried because things are going to thaw out up North.. Hopefully there is another cold blast in the works after Christmas or this thing could take a turn towards last season real fast....
