Chinese Michihili cabbage

I planted some of this a couple months ago. Ive never grown this before, so don't know what to expect or look for. It seems to be doing good..it's gotten rather large....but no cabbage heads. It's like Napa cabbage, so they will be the enlongated heads. Some of the plants are making (don't know what to call them) ....a stem came out of center and is making seed. I would expect that I should have cabbage heads by now...but nothing. All the leaves are splayed out....not forming a head. Anyone have any experience with this, or perhaps Napa cabbage, that can give me some advice?

It does not make a head like a cabbage. It makes a bunch of loose leaves growing upwards. Sounds like it is going to seed and you need to harvest it now and use it if it is still good.
