There have been some big ones being caught at Lake Placid, haven't been catching them myself but while checking licenses I'm seeing some pretty impressive fish, including one that was just shy of 2 pounds.

Alot of them have been going about that size, maybe slightly smaller but close but there have been several bigger

Any special permits required to fish Lake Placid? I have a lifetime sportsman license. I have always enjoyed catching shellcrackers. Pretty fish, bigger on the average than bluegills, and just about the same eating qualities.
