I hate posting without pictures ... but I had to get out and soremouth a few crappie today, and forgot the camera.

It was spittin' snow a little a daylight. Thought I was DOA at the ramp... like an idiot I'd apparently left my power switch on and depth finder running last time out because my crankin' battery was dead, dead, dead. But hooked 'er up to the trolling battery and headed out anyway.

Crappie didn't mind the spittin' snow. I think I caught ten fish in the first dozen casts. Got the "hot fish" out of the way and had to start workin' for them a little. Managed to catch 37 (if I counted right) ... kept a limit but gave a few of them to some buddies who were catfishing. I brought enough home for a fresh crappie dinner this evening. I can smell 'em fryin' right now!

I drowned a couple of cut bluegill for cats for about 30 minutes with no takers... but did catch a pair of 7 or 8 lb. blues on the crappie rig. That stretched my string.

Right now I'm about to fire up the fireplace... Life is good and gettin' better everyday ...
