cleaned my ML the other day and was just playing with it a few days later. seemed the trigger/hammer were not acting quite right. upon further investigation seems SOMEHOW a cap has fallen down in the hammer mech and is making the hammer stick on my optima. How the heck it got there or how long its been there is unknown but thank heavens i found it before next week. Got a buddy who is a gunsmith thats going to get it out for me tomorrow. i tried all i could to get it out but you cant get that hammer/trigger out without a punch and i dont want to be messing with all that.

moral of the story...check every part of your ML before next week just to be sure.

glad you caught it in time......i had a cap get between the firing pin and cap of my old lk 93 a few years back and missed a nice 16" 8 pt just before dark because of the mis fire....he waited till i pulle the hammer back again and mis fired once again..........then he scampered out of there and it was only after getting home and examining the gun more carefully in the light did i realize the cap was under the other cap pushed up against the breech tightly and was preventing contact of the firing pin to cap...........man i was miffed.
