The story line stated the shooter purchased a batch of cheap "china" made ammo..................the result!!!!!!!

Luckily the owner was not seriously injured or killed.

Looks like that one had a double charge in it. If that had been a Ruger, probably wouldn't have blew the top strap off of the gun. Ruger builds em like a tank.

I find that hard to believe, I think something else happend. Looks like a load of very slow rifle powder, instead of faster burning pistol powder.

Those pics have been going around the web for at least 2 years now and in the beginning said nothing about China(not defending them) but the weapon was taken the a PD to be disposed of in the original posting...

Yes Sir, the part about being taken to the PD to be disposed of was also in the story.

I don't know how long it has been circulating, first time I have seen it, but still a very real reminder of what can happen if safety and caution are not used.
