I have one that has to be at least 30 years old.
Has some nice engraving.

Anyone know much about them?
Think they are fairly cheap guns,but wondering if the older models were better made.
I have never been able to find out what model mine is ir anything about it.
Is there a good website to find info?
 
If I am correct, Charlie Daly was a high end "O/U" made by Ithaca Gun back in the day.

I could be mistaken, but I know they had ties with Ithaca back then.

Thought that could be the case,because my old gun seems like a quality made product.
Also, I was hunting SD on an Indian Reservation years ago,and a guy had a new Citori. He offered to trade me on the spot.
Didn't do it and never gave it another thought for years.

Then checked to find the new CD's sell cheap.
Could be the reason you said, or the guy may not have known his stuff, and I should have made the trade.
 
Posted a question on their forum. Hope to hear something about where it was mfg'd.
I traded a gun with some cas,and have no idea what it sold for now. Been too long.
 
Back in the day, CD's were a darn good made gun. Only guys with big money had them then.

I remember the first one I ever saw, It was gorgeous silver and blued, lots of engraving. I always wanted to own one.

Mine has a lot of engraving, all silver with blued barrel.
Traded and some amount of cash from an individual who got it at an estate sale. I did not have much money to spend on a gun back them I'm sure.

Will be interesting to find out what it is.
 
man if you have one that old, and it is engraved it could very well be worth several thousand. depending on which quality. post war o/u i have seen seem to run about 1600 bucks for diamond quality. saw one in the gun store a couple of months ago in 410, they wanted 1800 for it. if it is one of those pre war, from the 30's then it could be worth anywhere from 2 to 6 grand.

If I recall correctly, the guy I knew back then paid over $1000 for his and that was nearly 30 yrs. ago.

Im not expecting it to be very expensive. Probably not as old as necessary to have a high value.
I's not good at posting pics,but will give it a try.

Must have bought it somewhere close to 20 years ago,and it was used. I kept it in a safe with a gun sock on it and it has stayed in good condition.

Hope to get some info on the CD website forum.
