My Remmy 7MM MAG shoots Remmy Core-lock ammo poorly.
I get much better groupings from Federal Vital Shock.

Anyone else go from Remington to Federal?
It may just be my rifle.

I believe every gun has its own taste for a brand. My Ruger liked the core-lokts, it shoots the handloads I now make much better, actullay prefers Nosler bullets over Hornady's. My buddy's '06 likes Federals.

I have two .300 Savages, one Savage the other Remington. They like different ammo.

I had forgotten what ammo I was shooting last year, and have some Core-Loc I took to the range a week ago.

I thought my scope must have been damaged and was loose, because I had shots all over the paper.
It hit me then that I was shooting the Federal, and loaded it.
Back to great groups again, out to 250yds.

Agree with you, it must be a gun to gun issue.
Remington makes good ammo.

One thing I did notice is that the Federal looks like it is better made. The way the bullet fits into the brass.
Can't expain it,but it just looks better all the way around.

Ever notice the difference?

I agree my ruger took me a while to get the load right but once i found it that thing can hold it tight out to 300 or so... factory stuff doesnt do bad just not as well as i preferred
