My work is havin a fishin tournment there and me and my dad don't fish there hardly, We usally fish at Watts Bar, and i was wonderin what to use and what structure you are fishin. The first one is next month.
 
It all depends on the conditions and what part of March that it will be. Water temperature will be the driving factor For instance, the first of March last year was about the toughest I have ever seen Center Hill but the last of March and the remainder of the Spring was unreal. It was on fire this Fall and Winter as well but has gotten quite a bit tougher over the last month as the temps have dropped in the lower forties. This year so far with all the cold weather and snow may make it worse than last year but it will get good. If it is good and the water temps have warmed some, a spinnerbait and jerk bait will be hard to beat and possibley a crank bait. You can never go wrong in terms of trying to catch a limit with a shaky head fished on steep banks. Remind us again closer to your tourney. Where do you work?

u have to diregard this post! they dont work! lol! its a great lure and my go 2 bait on center hill! i also love the hair jigs tiped with mini pork! start on points close to deep water, there way dowwn right now, but if it warms up they will come up! now when i say that i dont mean come up to the bank! u have to remember that a bass comes ups vertical first before horizonal. so if the fish are off a point in 20ft of water, and it starts to warm; the fish move strait up and suspend! so try jerk baits for that depth. or run the crank! if it sustains temp, then they will work there way in. my ideal place is to find a good point that a cove with a creek cahnnel runs off of. but making sure that point drops off into main creek channel or main channel! i have cabin of off buffalo valley road, so i do fish this lake alot. in review, have bandit 200 or 300 crank, a jerk bait or slow rolling spinnerbait (chartuse), and a slow falling jig ( i like small with mini pork!) good luck, and pm if u have more questions!
 
Fished CH alot when I was in college at Tech. Suspending Rogues in a Clown color were deadly. I still fish them this time of year at Pickwick. Press a lead weight onto the shank of the front treble and shave with a knife until I get the bait to suspend head down at around a 45 deg. angle. Experiment with your retrieve - the fish will let you know when you get it right. In clear water like CH it's nothing for fish to come from 10-12' below it to hit it. Points next to deep water - not hard to find.

Which part of Center Hill? I live on the water basically

me too! bad thing is, it was all logs and rocks! lol! couldnt resist! its a great lake to fish, once u figure it out!

bwaahh!!

Most of the bass he's caught are in the places you would never think to fish.. If you got a good sonar, you should be able to find the places.Water is really low right now on this end of the lake, which really hurts the fishing. Crappie are hitting good down here 2
 
hey shane, how close to buffalo valley rd are u? my camp is right by happy hollw access? maybe we should do some fishin sometime!

I'm on the other end of the lake. I live across from Pates Ford Marina.
