Center Hill evening fish?

Summer is here and the jetski and wake bro's are out in force so the lake becomes a washing machine by 10am.
Do they usually clear out early enough in the afternoon/evening to be worth fishing say from 5 until sundown?

It for sure calms down in the evenings but you will still have a few wake boats and others running around in the evening but nothing like mid day. It makes me nervous anymore being out there with all the pleasure boats and a lot of them are under the influence of something. Dangerous as a loaded gun being out there on a weekend in the summertime in places.

Yeah me too. I like to ve home by 10:30. No way im gonna beat out there midday. Heat and sun dont bother me at all. But the sloshing around does

We went up last Sunday hoping to get glass water for my wife to slalom ski but it was too windy for her liking. She did surf but not another boat anywhere around us. Found a cove and anchored down the rest of the day and didn't see a boat the first several hours and then a couple came back there with the same idea. My in laws went up Wednesday to ski and saw this at the Ragland Bottoms ramp. Not sure how it happened unless he didn't put it in park and it rolled backwards and jackknifed.

Coming down the hill or while backing down the ramp? The red line is coming down the hill and turning to the right to straighten up before backing down. The yellow line is the ramp. If they went out coming down the hill you'd think he'd have turned to the right like the red arrow. If backing down the ramp when he lost them and it jackknifed I get it. That's what I initially thought after looking at the pic for a while when my mother in law sent it to me.

Hand/ foot emergency brake works by cable wire. I would have been pulling/ stomping on that like a mad man. And if that was inoperable then shame on the driver for not doing the life saving (his and others) maintenance that should have been done on the truck, instead of pleasure boating.

Man I love Melton Hill for this reason... Cold water lake... not many pleasure boaters when the water temp can be in the 50's and 60's during the summer days... :)
