Any tips/ ideas for catching crappie on Center Hill during fall and winter. Never really pursued them, but got several kids eager to fish, and thought this could be good and exciting for them and me. Don't want honey holes, etc. just point me towards right techniques.

I guess I'll jump in since nobody else has.

Sorry but I've never fish Center Hill every time I mention it my Wife says "Isn't that the lake everybody drowns on?".

I would try trolling in the bays pulling jigs of various colors .

From what I've learned in my short time here is if nobody's talking ... they're probably biting!

Fish for crappie on Center Hill year around except for the dead of summer. I usually catch them this time of year on sunk brush (10 to 40 feet), use electronics and if fish show up on trees then you can usually catch them and most of the time they are good ones. Only problem is you may only find them on 1 out of 5 spots. Fished this past weekend and I only found them on one of the 15 spots I checked.
