I cleared a cedar thicket on a ridge that has poor dry soil and am just wondering if anyone has planted in the same type of soil and what they planted. I'm going to get a soil test done here soon.
Add some purple top turnips and diacon radish to help with soil texture and to mine minerals from down below.Agree with other suggestions....lime it...you can do pelletized lime by hand and sow cereal rye and winter wheat just before a good rain.
^^^^^Wheat rye and crimson clover for fall with lots and lots of lime.
