Nothing like alot of you bass fishermen on here catch but a whopper to me.
First cast of the evening, off the bank right behind the campsite at Piney.
8" pumpkinseed lizard with a chart tail.
5 pounds 5 ounces.
Caught another one from the same spot a few minutes later that was "about" 2 1/2 pounds and yet another that went "about" 1 1/2 pounds.
Weighed the first one but didn't the other two.
Whacked 'em pretty good out of the boat yesterday.
Rapala jerkbait.
Had one that hit like a dang truck but came off right at the boat.
Hung another really good fish and it came off too.
The 10 or so small ones I caught took me forever to get the hooks out of them. Figures huh? LOL
Stretch and I took some advice from tophat and did some flipping right before dark and stretch WHACKED them.
He stuck three really really good fish that came off and he caught 3 or 4 more.
