It has been alot of years since I ate a smallmouth so I really don't remember any difference between the two.

They were good though. :D
Well a few of them were, the rest are in a sub-freezing environment awaiting disposition. ;)

Yep, there was one of the ones that man caught that was actually close to being what I consider too big.

If I would have caught it I would have thrown it back, but if I threw his back and kept mine and my father-in-laws, I am afraid he would have thrown ME back. :D

Nothing wrong with keeping bass, especially in a pond situation to help manage the lake, we have redone the regulations at the lakes here at chickasaw just so people would start keeping some bass because nobody ever does. The only time it is hurtful to a body of water is a man made lake where people keep large numbers of big bass (Gibson County Lake)where the lake can't replenish itself. I will not keep a bass over 3 pounds anywhere except a river, even if I catch one that I would like to have mounted I will just take a pic and measurements and have a replica made.

Don't worry HL I knew I would get pounded for eating the golden goose largemouth bass so it's all good.

The bass were actually pretty thick, the cell phone didn't do too good.
Fight like no bass I have ever caught either.
