Catossa coming up

Headed to Catossa after work today. Anyone else going to be there? Who has been in the past couple of weeks and whats the signs been looking like? I always hunt the same area, same tree. Just wondering what others have been seeing.

Any news from Catoosa on the non quota archery hunt, any big bucks killed? How did the guys that went do, see many deer?

Went last week. Saw one buck in the back of a truck and one doe our neighbor at the campground shot. Other than that saw no other deer and I was hunting in the woods. Also saw no acorns on the ground and heard only a few fall all weekend. Other guys that were with me were seeing a few in the fields right at dark.

I shot two does. Neither were found. One gut shot the other was hit in the shoulder. Both were in fields by themselves at first light and last light. Not as much sign in my usual area so i moved to another field.

I really hate not finding deer. I think the one that was hit in the shoulder will be ok. Plenty of Coyotes heard at night so i guess im keeping them fed.

might want to brush up on your tracking skills and give the wounded deer more time before tracking

Nothin. Until I was driving out 20 mins after dark had 2 bucks and a doe run across the road. Figures.

Hunted all week their was 9 of us in camp we killed 1 deer all of us together seen 9 deer total 4 were at night on way back to camp we left today 10/18 we hunted bi-color side was not that good for us

Is this a Quota Hunt Property or can I hunt it with my sportsman license?

If u have sportsman lic u are good to go it is a open archery hunt but u only have 19 and 20th to hunt it opened last weekend
