Made me think of something I was told not long ago.

There is a local farmer that hates all deer and turkey.
He said the turkey will follow the tractor pulling seeds out of the ground.

They lose 15 rows of crop every year to the deer around the outside edges of the fields etc.

He said that when he is working and him or any of his guys see a hen jump up they will get off the tractor and walk the area until they find her nest and then they will stomp all the eggs.

Talk about not getting a chance, sheesh.

I don't stomp them. I will make omelets out of them. A 2 egg wild turkey omelet is about all you can handle, especially if you can find some freshly hatched turkey poults or bald eagle chicks to fry up and stuff them with. :) dang I am hungry now.

barred owl eggs are good too. Especially with lots of pepper.

Lose 15 rows??? They need to let some of the Mafia come take care of that problem they got...... Never heard of such..

If they are serious about getting rid of them I have a team of guys that will wipe them out. :)

Just because y'all kill more multi bearded birds don't mean y'all kill anymore birds than anyone else....... Lol

When you kill 50+ birds you will have a few multi beards in there most of the time.

Heck I figure Squeaky killed 25 by himself.... What the rest of y'all doing??

He came close to 20 I would imagine. You don't want him hunting you that's for sure.

50 birds in how long? a couple years? I killed my first turkey in 2011 and have killed roughly 27 to date and no multi beards yet!

catman529,
27 kills since 2011. That's good hunting, congrats. Don't doubt your numbers. I am just wondering if you do all your hunting in TN?

I'm sure he is counting his fall kills as well.... he has been known to shoot 3-4 at once that way....
Could be but let's hope not
yeah that includes fall season, only in tn, I think I'm at 12 longbeards, 1 of which was fall season. But read setterman's post, I hunt in an area full of turkeys so its not that hard to kill a few
