Catfish below wheeler dam

Has anybody been or heard any reports lately from there? Last year was pretty bad and was hoping this year would be better.

I fished there two weeks ago and really didn't see anyone fishing for catfish. I managed to catch a 18lb flathead but it was by accident.

Not experienced with it at all only been a couple of times in the past. We went at night and got right up next to the dam and caught about a hundred off of nightcrawlers and livers. Just drop your bait straight down off the side of the boat. Wore them out. These are the small ones, not sure how to catch big ones if that what you asking.

Thanks for the replies. Last year it didnt seem to matter if it was day or night, the numbers just werent there like in previous years.
