I mounted a Nikon Slughunter 3-9X40 BDC 200 scope to my SX3 20 gauge Cantilever barrel yesterday and noticed that the cantilever part that I mounted the scope to will move downward when I press down on the scope. Although it returns to its original position when I release it, is this normal and will it affect accuracy??? Thanks.

Well, the cantilever is thin and flexible so you are going to be able to flex it if you push hard enough. That's normal though and is the way it's designed so nothing is wrong with your gun.

If you look at even a heavy barrel bolt gun, you can flex the barrel/stock a lot with just your hands and many of them shoot tiny little groups.
