when I get the bedding and load work done I have a smith lined up to install the Palma rear and Olympic front sights,,gonna start off with the 300 yard Palma try out targets and work out to 500,my goal is to keep 5 in a row in the black at the 1000 yard Palma target by Labor day,,

at 1000 I plan on starting out on steel targets the same size as the Palma paper targets to get a feel for it as those big targets are expensive,,

lookin at the new Smallbore F Class also,,

It should be fun. I have gotten to try a 1000 a few times and it is putting the bullet up high, to get there. Didn't get those kind of groups lucky just to hit a target.

What bedding compound are you going to use? The only thing I've used on aluminum blocks was Devcon.

bottom of receiver where you can see where the action has been moving in the stock,,when bedding I always remove everything from the action and plug all holes with modeling clay,and use two coats of release agent,and so far knock on wood,havent had one stick yet,,

I didnt get pics of the stock but I roughed the block a little and drilled a few small 1/8th holes for the bedding to grab hold,,

I didnt put any compound on the tang and applied a bunch from the bolt handle cutout forward to the lug,,wrapped enough masking tape around the barrel at the fore end of the stock thick enough that I had to squeeze it in,which centers the barrel in the channel and helps me get the barrel/action level in the stock,,
