Canoeing into a new spot on thursday. Hope to have some Catman luck!!! Supposed to be good hog sign on this place also. I have never shot a hog any advice?

If you are confident in your shooting ability and the shot...pop it behind the ear. We've shot some before behind the shoulder and if it's back a few inches you may never find the thing. They are tough and their vitals are "hidden" a little more behind the shoulder.

Most of the wma's around me say wild hogs may be taken during any deer hunt by legal deer hunters

No dice... saw lots of traks including some nice size buck traks...you could see the dew claws nicely... couldn't stay til dark this time but would definatly would go back to sit til dark...found a spot just wore down with tons of traks crossing a creek up into fields.
