It was real slow (I think I caught nine) but the fish were really big. I caught mostly browns, mostly on size 20 and 22 midges. I broke off three in the 22 to 25 inch range on tiny 7x tippet and saw some that were much bigger. The big dawgs just kind of giggled when they saw me.

This 17-incher just looked so magnificent in its spawning colors that I had to take some underwater pics. The video's pretty lame, but it was my first try at a scuba flick. You have no idea if the fish is in the frame.

Thanks, I generally hide in a climber stand and on the Serious Deer Forum this time of year, but I had to check out them trouts one more time before it gets chilly. I'm always peeking in but just haven't had anything to report.

I shopped around and got one with everything for $250. I think Olympus has other underwater models, and so do Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc. They are now smaller, cheaper, clearer, easier, etc. than ever.

They are pretty much all stocked. Some people will tell you there is some natural reproduction, but they can never produce a trout smaller than the stocked fingerling size - TWRA stocks 3 to 4 inch fingerlings a few times a year. When somebody shows me a two-inch parr from the Caney, I'll agree that there is some reproduction going on.
