Does cane make good sanctuary material for deer?Its thick,and spreads and grows fast.

I've honestly never seen or jumped a deer in it and actually spend a lot of time eradicating the stuff. Thick stands are really hard for them to easily walk through, it's difficult to bed in because it doesn't "lay down" at all, it can be extremely invasive, the woody stems have gotta be pretty uncomfortable to lay on, and it provides little thermal or nutritional value.

I have a 50 sq yard patch of the stuff on my lease. There is a path through it deer use a little bit, not much. I have never seen any evidence of a deer browsing them and there is no way to use them as a bedding area.
