For mud flats/sandbars on the one hand and shallow water on the other, what's the best decoy type?
Basically looking for a system to use at both fall and winter pool levels. Value on silos look better, but the stakes make me nervous for when mud/sand freezes. Also not sure how good they last compared to stacked shells with stakes.

Silos and stackable shells with stakes appeal to me because they create movement (or at least the appearance of it) and aren't as bulky or heavy. More room in the boat that way. Also perhaps more realistic in strong wind than floaters (which are so heavy and expensive I can scarcely imagine buying them new).

I don't know anything about this company, but they have a screw on one. Probably others out there that make something similar.
