Camping around the Caney

Me and a buddy are wanting to do an all day fishing/camping trip on the Caney in a few weeks. We are not familiar with that area at all. We're from Nashville, so we would be heading up 40E and hit the Caney from there probably. Any suggestions on a good area? Thanks!

If it is open now you can camp there at Long Branch Campground. It is at the foot of Center Hill Dam and right on the Caney. I believe they open in March.
