Campground Locations?

The wife and I are looking for quick trip locations close to our home. We are in N.E. Tn next to Va. and N.C. We like full hookups if possible and nice campgrounds.

Please list your favorites and we will give them a try...
We go about every other weekend somewhere..

We go to Deep Creek, Bryson City NC every year. Great area

Mag, thanks... We drove through there years ago. We will check it out. Deep Creek is the name of the campground? Thanks again.

The only ones I know in that area are Roan Mountain State Park (Roan Mtn, TN) and Warriors Path State Park (Kingsport, TN).

Grayson Highlands state park and BearTree in the Dasmasus area are nice places.

GRAMPS: is Grayson Highlands the same as Grindstone above BearTree around White Top??

I don't know if it is the same as Grindstone or not. It has been a few years since I was there and then it was known as Grayson Highlands state park. The AT runs through the park and a lot of people park near the campground to access the AT. I got to it by driving up I-81 and turning off at the Marion exit.
