Me and a couple friends are gonna be in Tn the first week of turkey season and we are planning on doing mostly campfire style cooking. I am just looking for some different ideas for things to whip up at camp. We are bringing cast iron sets and we are bringing a fish cooker. So we are open to new ideas.

Hobo dinners. Get some taters, ground beef, vegetables, butter, spices, whatever you want really. Wrap it up in a couple layers of aluminum foil and make sure it's sealed shut tightly. Put it in the coals, turning every now and then, for 10-20 min depending on how hot the fire is. Pretty darn good

I was going to put "Hobo Dinners" - good job!

Sheapards Pie in foil :) aka HOBO Dinners :)

I like to make omlet mixins - eggs ham onions peppers hashbrowns sausage etc in a plastic bag - ziplock tight and boil them in water in the fire - make a fine breakfast :)

I will not (car camp) without fried taters. Dice em up let em soak for a few throw em in some hot oil, add spices, onion green pepper. And to make a complete meal out of them sometimes I will just add some sausage or eggs or diced toms. or cut up brats or any other kind of meat or sometimes just a little of anything or everything I can get my hands on.
