I am looking to purchase a camper in the 30ft range. Do you prefer bumper pull or fifth wheel? I realize the fifth wheel will be easier to manuever, but is it worth the loss of bed space? Also can I pull my boat behind a 30ft camper?

Thanks

I have a 31' and my truck bed is usually full of stuff too. Of course I have two kids that I've packed for also.

I pull a 25 fifth wheel, still load the bed down with wood, bikes, etc. I hate bumper pulling. Trailer gets unhooked upon arrival so truck bed access isn't a concern. Towing ability is!

I personally prefer a fifth wheel. It's easier to manuever. I've found it's easier on me when i'm towing it.. And Its harder to tell it's behind me due to all the weight over the rear axle VS behind the axle. And you can still put stuff in the back of the truck. Just not as much. :)

I like my 30ft pull behind , it leaves me room in bed of truck for firewood, kayak and dog box or atv on hunting trips. IMO

Going to sell mine in late spring and look for another pull behind .
