Camo For a Lock-On Stand

With permission, I installed some brackets to put a small tree limb in to provide camo for my lock-on stands. I took a 6-inch piece of 3/4-inch PVC and screwed it into the side of a tree. Only do this with permission. Some landowners would not want you to put screws into their trees. Looks like it will work great. Just wanted to share this idea.

Some reason on public they don't allow anything screwed into the tree. Always wondered if that had more to do with logging or what.

Used to have a bracket on my stand that you shove limbs into. Now I just zip tie them to climbing sticks and stand. Your idea seems better because mine will move as you move if not careful.

Yes, I think it's because of the logging issue. I guess they don't want anything metal in the tree so they won't hit it with a saw, in the field or at the mill.

I thought about attaching something to my stand, but like you, I was concerned that the branches may wiggle when you move.
