earlier in the season I had camera issues. wasn't in a normal groove to inventory bucks, wanted to be "suprised". Well, I am ready to get cameras back out and IMO is one of the best times to do it. just like early season deer are going to be back on food sources. If not now, in the next few weeks. This weekend I will have my cameras on the same areas I had them pre bow season except for not placeing them over TR. Late season I usually get a great idea what I have for laye season and in some cases next year. Get your cameras out now, you won't regret it!

Even though these are from Feb. It shows the same effect. I start getting pics like this from now to early March.
 
Both of mine are currently down. I've contacted the manufacturer and should hopefully have two up and running starting next weekend. Maybe I'll get lucky and one will arrive today...I agree if you have any food. It is a great time to inventory your bucks.

I already know the small 10 I passed Sunday morning opening weekend of gun made it through gun season so I'm hopefull several of my other 2.5's did too...
 
The problem I'm having is the deer really aren't on the food plots much. I haven't checked all the cameras, but one that was checked over the weekend (had been on a food plot for two weeks) had virtually no pictures.
 
My food plot activity really dropped alot this past week. We had about two inches of snow for several days up in the mountains and some really cold weather, a low of 8 degrees. All of my turnips froze and wilted to the ground. Still got this one on cam though. He was curious about the red glow.

I'm really surprised you guys aren't picking them up on food plots the past week with the extremely cold temps. Are all the red oak acorns cleaned up on your properties?

The red oak are still droping on my place and the deer or hitting them pretty hard. We didn't have very many whites at all this year.
 
Hope you get some nice pics , Rich ! Better yet , I hope you put a tag on one of those bucks before the season ends .
I got a new Wildgame Innovations X6C trailcam yesterday I'm going to test out. I have been checking it in the backyard with wind chill in the single digits and a 40 mph wind and it's taking good pictures .
