Calling during the early season

How much calling do y'all do during the early season and what vocalizations do y'all use. Had any luck?

Doe bleat and fawn bleat will call deer in the early season. But use it sparingly. Remember if you you use a call in early season the deer will come in looking for another deer and alert.

A couple of weeks into the season I will usually start my light rattling. Just real light and no aggression. The bucks seem to respond more relaxed and curious but not as jittery.

Early season light grunts has always brought bucks in to check it out.

I use very little calling during bow season. Just me though.

I rarely use any calls unless I had a deer moving away from me that I can see and try to turn him/her around..

Doe bleats are about all I use, never had any luck with any buck sounds.

Rich did teach me to blow back at the old does and it does work.

yeah, i used the "blow back method" too...what do you got to lose, you have already been busted and your pissed by then!! lol

I don't fool with calls till the pre-rut. Or mid-late October really. I just don't like telling the deer where I'm at, and I don't like to carry too much junk up in stand when it's warm.

Not much . I might use a fawn bleat to call a doe in range .
