I made a thread in the general section but thought I would stick one here too. Can you share any tips? I just got lucky and found one in the woods behind my house.(about 1.5 acres in suburbia).

Anyway, any help would be great. Thank you.
 
Don't know if it makes a difference me and my dad found several the other evening. Most of them were around popular trees. He has always said you will find more around populars than anywhere else.
 
Early in the season the browns start high and as it gets warmer the greys come up and are typically on the hillsides and in the hollers or low spots. They like poplar, ash, and apple trees. In my area it's mostly greys up now. Make sure to carry them in a mesh type bag so the spores can spread.
