Wife and I went out Sunday am to call for varmints. At first set and second series of calls two flocks of Canada geese in 'v' formations came flying low over the trees honking etc. So naturally we looked up and enjoyed their overflight. Well when I looked back down at the pasture there was a dadgummed coyote staring me straight in the eye at about 45 yards with just his mid chest and head visible behind the crest of the rolling terrain. I moved to get the gun around in position and he/she wheeled and was gone over the rolling hill crest in about two bounds.

Man you have to pay attention constantly to every detail to get these predators. I need to get me a remote electronic call with decoy so I can deflect their intensity to another point other than me. I am in the process of learning and have a lot of ideas about setting up my equipment and techniques. At least it came to my calling! Learning every time. Plateau Hunter

LOL yep they can get in on ya in a heartbeat.
Had one get to within 7 FEET of me in a creek one time.
Never got a shot at him.

Theyre sneaky little boogers. Ive had a pile on top of me before i knew it. Congrats on the call in.
